Our Vision

The Jerrinja Local Aboriginal Land Council strives to be culturally, environmentally, socially and financially sustainable and so provide for the future of the Jerrinja Community and our Country.

Being the oldest living culture in the world we place high importance on our cultural obligation of knowledge transfer. Handing our knowledge and cultural practices down can be viewed in terms of intergenerational equity.

We also want to share our culture with the broader community and ensure people are aware of the significance of the cultural landscape.

We strive for balance between sustainable progress and the protection of that cultural landscape, and that forms the basis of our advocacy work.

Our vision is investment in appropriate programs and projects, employment and training, social enterprise, culture and heritage, and social infrastructure.
